Ducks and Chickens oh my!

The ducklings got moved out of the house and into their own space last night.  I wanted to jump in with them and play, but my man and lady would not let me!  They are so funny to watch!  They make a lot of noise and huddle up together.  They even have a kiddie pool!  I glad I can stay in the house though...it is really hot out here.  My lady sat outside while my man worked on the coop.  I ran and ran and ran some more.  That Cat came out.  I tried to play and do you know what it did?  It hissed and got me with its claws...I am giving it a wide berth.  Stupid Cat.  All that I want to do is play and all it can do is be mean!  But for some reason my lady seems to like it.  She petted it and rubbed it's back.  Hmmfff!

We were the only ones home last night.  Everyone else was else where....it was a little boring and I really missed my girl, Emily.  She lets me sleep in bed with her!  We play games, she covers up in a big blanket and I try to dig her out!  It is such fun.  Hope they are home tonight!

Another day on the farm..

"This was a busy weekend.  My people had tons of stuff to do and it was hot.  I, of course do not work, just ran around crazy; attacking anthing that moves.  Gloves are my favorite. 
First my family went out and loaded up dirt...dirt of all things.  They would pick up big heavy clods of it and toss it into a wagon or wheel barrow.  Than the boy and man would dump it and start all over again.  Funny part is, I think they were having fun.  I just ran around and attacked grasshoppers.

We still have the baby puff balls called chicks.  They are smelly, my kind of animal.  The "ducklings" are still in the house....with a light on them.  I guess they do not have very good eye site and need lots of light to see.  They can get loud with their noise. 

After running all day....I went to sleep in one of my girls room.  She lets me sleep with her in bed.  Her cat Sassy hates this.  Oh well-dogs are cool, and cats drool.  I made a funny...."

Riley is having the time of his life and so are the rest of us.  We worked hard this weekend, still so much to do!  Kent got Emily's closet rack installed and she was hanging her clothes up last night.  I was chugging laudnry through.  Clare had a friend over (Hey Syd) and she even helped plant tomato last night.  Then they went on a sugar high. 

We are having fun.

My simple life

This is our story as seen through my eyes, I'm Riley a 6 lb 13 week old Rat Terrier mix puppy.  We have just moved out to our new place, which is way better than our old place (even though I was there only for a few short weeks, my people were there for 10 years). 

Our new place has lots of room inside and out!  We have a long staircase that goes to a basement, my lady loves this area.  It is big and finished!  There is a pooltable, TV, a library, full bath and two bedrooms.  We go down there and watch movies and eat popcorn.  I like it, my people love it!

My boy sleeps down there, he is older and likes to be on his own.  But he also spends lots of time now with family.  He loves playing pool and playing with something called the X-Box.  I just like running around growling at everything.

I sleep with one of my girls, I have two!!!!  I also have two fellow beast..they call them cats, I call them play things.  I have to share my girls with them.  One cat never hardly shows her whiskers her name is Sassy.  I she her run under the beds.  The other cat P.D. is way bigger than me.  I heard my lady say he weighs 17 lbs!  But I love to play with him. 

When everyone comes home is the best time.  We all go outside and I run and run.  I also play with my other cat, her name is Rascal, only she is not friendly at all.  I try to play and she hisses and swipes at me.  But I am smarter than her and never get to close...just enough to see her fur stand up on end.  That is fun!

My mam is planting tomatoes into the ground.  I don't understand it, but it is fun playing with the clods of dirt  he digs up.  And the smells are something else, lots of new smells to investigate. 

So that is my simple life at the present.  Sometimes my lady and my man will write in this blog...they can say things better than I can since I don't understand some things.  But I will be here a lot also.
